Day 2

The morning of day two was spectacular with a sunrise walk on the beach below the cliff. The fog rolled in as we walked the dogs in the sand and we were able to get some good photos before heading out.
We had to ship out early, though, because our first airport was ahead of us with Jake flying in to meet us in San Francisco at 9:30. We got the first of many odd looks as we rolled into the taxi stand at the airport to pick up our customer, and off to Napa we went. We arrived at our campsite around noon, just in time to meet up with Lisa who had driven with her dog, Daisy, from her new place in the Bay Area.
The plan for the day was to bike to a few wineries. Jake had rented a bike and Lisa brought hers, and we managed to pull together three baskets for our dogs... and somehow managed to coerce three dogs to get into bike baskets. The bike trip... um... looked good on paper. We ended up seeing two great wineries - HaGafen and Regusci - and one very pretentious one - Derioush - that we didn't bother tasting at. The wine was great and the people gracious, but the bike trip was pretty rigorous for us amateurs on some questionable roads. We ended up biking about 18 miles total and were exhausted after having to ride back into a head wind. When we got back we cooked some salmon, had more wine and played some euchre before calling it a day. (Trumpshaker won three straight!)
You guys look so cute with your matching baskets!
